Community
I used to be a member of an exceptional blogging community way back when, I think we’re really talking about seven/eight years ago. I was a fledgling blogger at AOL Journals, but things were a bit clinical there, so I looked for another free platform to expand my meagre writing. I found Modblog.
I cannot really explain Modblog to outsiders who never used it. It was like having a better Wordpress/Twitter/Facebook combined, with your own design capabilities, which to be fair, back then was impressive, but to today’s standard was primitive.
I found amazing people there, many of which I met in real life, many who I am still friends with online today, in fact the reason I’m scribbling this piss poor post is because the Facebook Modblog Group has suddenly awoken. I left a comment there that urged the community to get back together again and to interact as we used to. The only way accomplish this is to lead by example I feel, so here is my first post.
The good thing is, I have other great blogs to point you towards if any of you care enough to make a go of reigniting a flame that never really went out. :D
